Besides the up and down weather, we’ve been getting out quite a bit with great results. Fishing the shallows at Little Barrier with limit bags of Snapper, ranging mostly in size from 340mm to 450mm – nice eating sizes.
We’ve also been doing a few Kingfish trips to the ‘Mokes’. Excellent results with getting everyone on board a Kingfish each to take home as well as a few releases for the future. Great Trevally and Teraki at Little Barrier way also.
Get your asses out of the city and get into the fish while they’re running!
Cheers, Aaron (Skipper)
Another epic day and out with Bounty Hunter Charters to celebrate Sam’s stag do. And what a way to celebrate – with two ‘personal best’ kingfish.
Gotta love a man with a mankini tan! – Cheers, Aaron ‘Bounty Hunter Charters’
Our first charters were a total success with limit bags all round and some big snapper among them. Prize for the month, a 23 lb snapper and lil’ Ollie, a 7 year old catching his first ever kingfish and biggest fish of his life so far.
We’ve mostly fished south of Kawau Island and are generally home early with limit bags. We have done a couple of overnighters to Great Barrier and the fishing is going off out there – we couldn’t miss with some of my old haunts producing double figure snapper etc .
It certainly is a magic time of the year to go out and have a ball so get in fast as dates are filling fast.
All the best and tight lines – cheers, Aaron ‘Bounty Hunter Charters’
